Is this like Goodread?
While Goodreads is a beneficial application, it does present certain challenges when utilized as a reading journal. Notably, it requires a continuous internet connection, rendering it unusable in offline scenarios such as on flights or in subways. Additionally, the process to log a books start or finish date, or to transition a book between shelves, is somewhat cumbersome, often necessitating multiple taps interspersed with loading screens.
In light of these issues, Story Stasher was conceived. This app operates flawlessly in offline modes and is designed with a focus on simplifying and expediting the journaling experience, addressing the frustrations commonly encountered with other platforms.
Sometimes I cannot find the book I am looking for?
The book metadata retrieval feature in our app is powered by Google Books. However, it is important to note that Google Books may not catalog every ISBN for a particular book, which can occasionally result in the barcode scanning function not identifying the book. Should this happen, you can often locate a different edition of the book by conducting an ISBN search. If a general search also fails to yield results, it might be that Google Books does not have a record of the book. Under such circumstances, you would need to manually input the books metadata into the app
Is there an Android version?
